RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST This opportunity for a RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST is in a 144-bed Hospital located within 45 minutes of Philadelphia, PA. They provide comprehensive medical services through emergency room visits, inpatient admissions, outpatient procedures and community outreach programs. Their services include an award-winning cardiovascular program, a fully accredited cancer center, NAPBC-accredited breast health center, an acute inpatient rehabilitation center, and a large robotic surgery center. They are accredited by The Joint Commission and have been recognized for their quality outcomes and clinical expertise across services lines that include joint replacement surgery, advanced heart failure care, and the designation as a Primary Stroke Center. OVERVIEW OF POSITION The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures, producing images for the interpretation by, or at the Request of a licensed independent practitioner. Radiographers demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. They maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety. Radiographers prepare, administer and document activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and institutional policy. Radiographers remain sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through excellent communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring and patient care skills. Post High School Diploma Program
RT ( R) (ARRT) or ARRT eligible technologists hired upon graduation must be certified and registered within 12 months of the graduation date. The first attempt to certification and registered must take place within 3 months of graduation date
